ATA Contributes Important Protections

ATA's professionalism and dedication continually contribute important protections to the entertainment industry. ATA and its members continue to partner on behalf of artists with unions, guilds and other professional organizations on legislative and contractual issues.

ATA joined the DGA-led alliance to fight for passage of the American Jobs Creation Act, and worked tirelessly in the drafting of the Advance Fee Talent Agent Act to protect artists and their families. ATA also worked with state legislators to expand the Coogan Laws for the protection of minors.

ATA continues to actively support state, guild and union legislation to help stop runaway production.

ATA assists unions and guilds by providing information on how to protect Artist's privacy in relation to resumes, pictures, electronic submissions, new technology, etc.

ATA consistently works closely with the unions and guilds by relaying critical information to the agents concerning Artists wages, working conditions, waivers, work rules, jurisdiction, strike rules, contract negotiations, and more.
